5.The Spaghetti Harvest
In the Spring of 1957 BBC aired this piece on spaghetti farming. This caused much confusion and thousands wrote into BBC asking how and why this was happening.
4.White Dogs (1965)
A Danish newspaper reported that parliament has passed a law forcing all dogs within the country to be painted white. This was to make them more visible at night, which would increase road safety.
3. The Taco Liberty Bell (1996)
Taco bell took out several full page advertisements in popular newspapers throughout the United States where they announced that the Liberty Bell had been renamed the, “Taco Liberty Bell.” White House Press Secretary Mike McCurry responded that the federal government was also “selling the Lincoln Memorial to Ford Motor Co. and renaming it the Lincoln-Mercury Memorial.”
2.UFO Landing in London (1989)
People gathered around what appeared to be a UFO that had landed in the outskirts of London. Once authorities arrived a police officer approached the UFO to see what was inside and he found the chairman of Virgin records Richard Branson.
