Lacoste: Beauty of the Game

For summer, Lacoste is celebrating the “Beauty of the Game” by launching a limited edition version of their best-selling male fragrance inspired by the iconic white Lacoste L.12.12 polo shirt and aptly named EAU DE LACOSTE L.12.12 Blanc. Available as of July 2012, the limited edition bottle draws on the legacy of the great sportsman and innovator, René Lacoste.

“We wanted to turn the best-selling fragrance of the Eau de Lacoste L.12.12 collection into something that all our fans from across the globe would treasure, and that of course reflects the universality of the brand.” says Christophe Pillet, LACOSTE Design Director

The new limited edition contains the same juice as the original best-selling Eau de Lacoste L.12.12 Blanc version.  Inspired by the classic white polo shirt, the fragrance opens with a fresh, woody and herbal blend of grapefruit, rosemary, cardamom and cedar leaf to create a clean and aromatic first impression.  These notes blend with a uniquely masculine, floral heart accord comprising a natural tuberose, ylang ylang and olibanum that gives the scent its purity. The base of the fragrance merges cedarwood and georgywood with fresher notes of vetiver. The overall effect is a unique masculine floral creation which purveys a cleanness and purity but with an underlying woody tenacity. Fresh, wearable, stylish and audacious, the Blanc Edition perfectly captures the spirit and authenticity of the iconic L.12.12 polo shirt.

The limited edition Fragrance can be picked up for around $60.
