Women are not one dimensional pieces of meat to be drooled over by men. They are complex and intriguing beings. Though, when men compliment women it usually is one dimensional. There is nothing wrong with telling a woman she is beautiful, but the compliments she wants to hear aren’t always about her physical features. Drop your ego and appreciate her complexities by complimenting her on something other than her looks. Here are four compliments she doesn’t hear enough!

1. Intelligence

Telling your woman that she is intelligent is something you should be doing more often. If you are too shy to come out and tell her you appreciate her brainpower, then use some subtlety. Next time she says or does something smart, just say, “and that’s why I like you,” she will say, “why’s that,” and you finish by saying, “because you have a good head on your shoulders.”

2. The Way She Treats You And Others Around Her

Let her know you appreciate how she treats you. If she shows up to your flag football game and cheers you on like you are Peyton Manning in the Super Bowl, let her know that’s awesome! Also, compliment her on the way she treats her friends. They are an important part of her life, and you taking note of her caring for someone else will brighten up her day.

3. Her Style

Tell her you like her style. The way she carries herself, is a direct reflection of her character. Noticing that she has made a slight change is a positive. She will appreciate that you took notice in the little things. She doesn’t hear it enough, so do it now!

4. Her Ambition and Accomplishments

There is nothing more sexy than a woman who has her own things going on. Let her know this! If she gets a promotion, get a bottle of bubbly and crack it open! Tell her you are proud of her and that she deserves it. This will go a long way with your girl, she has goals and ambitions just like you. Support her when things go wrong and congratulate her when things go her way.
